This step-by-step tutorial shows you how to Reset Kodi Install Build on any device you have running Kodi.
TIP: This guide assumes that you already have a Kodi build installed. And we assume that you want to replace your “not working” Kodi with a version that works great.
I wrote this tutorial as a fix for people who have a “Kodi not working” situation. Why? Because many people have an old Kodi build installed and Kodi is not working for them.

What’s in this Reset Kodi Install Build Tutorial?
- First, I show you how to Reset Kodi (Part 1)
- Then I show you how to install a WORKING Kodi Build (Durex Build, in Part 2 of this tutorial)
This is a 2-part process, so I show you both parts: How to Reset Kodi and How to Install Durex Build.
Part 1: Reset Kodi
In Part 1 of this tutorial, I show you how to find the “File Manager” in Kodi (assuming you already have a Kodi build installed). Then I show you how to add a new Source to Kodi and then use the app in the new source to RESET Kodi.
First we reset Kodi using the steps below. When you’re done with the steps in Part 1, move on to Part 2.
- From the Kodi home screen, find the “SYSTEM” menu and select it
- Now look for a “File Manager” button and select it
- Then choose “Add Source“
- Now select the box that says “None“
- Enter this address: http://fusion.tvaddons.co
- Press OK
- Now select the box just below the text “Enter a name..”
- Enter the name “tvaddons” (or any name you can remember)
- Press OK again
- Then press OK one last time to finish adding the new source
- Go back to the Kodi homescreen
- Just below the “SYSTEM” menu, look for a button that says “Add-On Browser” (or something similar)
- Select “Add-On Browser“
- Then choose “Install From Zip File”
- Select the new source you added (named “tvaddons“)
- Then select “begin-here“
- Now select the Zip File that appears on your screen
- Wait for Indigo to install
- Then launch the Indigo Wizard (if it doesn’t start up automatically)
- When Indigo starts, select “Factory Restore“
- Select “Yes“
- Then select “Yes” to keep Indigo installed after the reset. Or select “No” to get rid of Indigo after reset.
Congratulations! Kodi is now reset to Factory Default Settings. At this point, you should continue and follow the steps below to install one of the best Kodi build options available.
Part 2: Install Durex Build
Now we install Kodi Durex build, which is one of the best Kodi builds currently working!
- From the Kodi homescreen, select the System icon
- Then choose “File Manager”
- Now select “Add Source”
- Then select the box that says “None”
- Enter this address: http://drxbld.com/wiz/

- Now select the box just below the text “Enter a name..”
- Enter the name “durex” (or any name you can remember)
- Press OK again
- Then press OK one last time to finish adding the new source
- Go back to the Kodi homescreen
- Select “Add-Ons” from Kodi’s main menu
- Then select the “Package Installer” icon
- Now select “Install From Zip File”
- Select the new source you added (named “durex“)
