How to Install and Use GSE Smart IPTV for FireStick, Android, and iOS

In this installation guide, I discuss how to install GSE Smart IPTV on Firestick and other similar devices from Amazon’s Fire lineup of tabletop streamers. These instructions are also helpful if you are using any other Android-based streamer such as Smart Android TV, Android smartphones, Android TV Box as well as iOS devices.

The GSE Smart IPTV application is available on the official Apple and Google app stores. But, unfortunately, it is not available on the official Amazon app store. As Firestick is Amazon’s product, you need to sideload the application to make it work on the streaming device.

For sideloading any apk on Firestick, you have to ensure that the “Apps from Unknown Sources” feature is turned on. Firestick keeps it disabled by default to protect you against unintentionally installing malicious apks. If you don’t know how to enable this feature, read on below:

Go to Firestick’s Settings option

(It will be on the menu bar on top)

Next, using your firestick remote, navigate to the “My Fire TV” feature and click on it to open.

Now find Developer Options

On this screen, if the option for “Apps from Unknown Sources” says OFF under it, click on it once and turn it ON. You don’t need to do anything if it’s already ON.

When Firestick prompts you to confirm your selection, Click Turn On to give your permission.

GSE Smart TV is a safe and secure apk. You don’t need to worry about this prompt.

Now that you have enabled this feature, let’s get into the actual installation process.

Steps to install GSE Smart IPTV on FireStick 

Follow the steps below to easily install GSE Smart APK on your Firestick device.

Step 1: First of all, we need the Downloader app. It’s a simple downloader application that lets us download any APK file from the internet. Good thing is, it’s available on the Amazon official app store. It helps us sideload the GSE Smart IPTV app.

So, in order to get the Downloader, Go to the Search feature on the top left corner of your Firestick home page and lookup Downloader.

Step 2: Download and Install the Downloader app. You can install it just like any other app on Firestick

Step 3: Launch Downloader.

When you run this app for the very first time, it will show you a couple of prompt message. Get past them quickly by selecting your preferred options until you see the home page of Downloader. It looks something like this:

Step 4: In the URL field on the right-hand side of the screen, type in the following URL and click GO:

You can also use the shorter version of the same URL path i.e. gsesmartiptv.com

Step 5: Downloader app will redirect you to the browser to load this website’s home page. Scroll to the end of the page and locate the option that says “Download for Amazon Devices.”

Step 6: Click on it.

Downloader will now start downloading the GSE Smart IPTV apk. It will take some time depending on the speed of your internet connection.

Step 7: Once the APK downloads, go ahead and install the file.

Step 8: The installation will take several minutes. Once you see the installed message, it means the APK has been installed successfully.

Now you can click Open to launch the app immediately. But we don’t recommend that. You should first go back to the Downloader app and remove the unnecessary APK file to clear up space. Firestick has a pretty limited available space. Therefore, it’s best practice to remove the APK once you have installed an application.

Step 9: So, now click on Done instead to go back. Now Click on Delete in the prompt twice to remove the unnecessary APK file.

Step by step instructions to utilize GSE Smart IPTV on FireStick 

In this section of the article, we will explain how to use GSE Smart IPTV app on your Firestick device. In case you already know how to use this application, then you can simply skip this section.

Alright!

Let’s get right into this.

Step 1: When you launch the app for the very first time, it will show you the following prompt. Click on OK to continue with the app.

Step 2: Now click Allow on the next prompt

Step 3: Next will be the EULA Prompt. Click on Agree to contine.

Please read all the warnings carefully and if you do not agree with any of the content, simply click Cancel and quit using this app.

Step 4: This is the home page of the GSE Smart IPTV. Let’s explore it a bit.

On the Local category, you can see the following options

• Local playlists
• Android Local Media
• Upload playlist with FTP
• Mode

All of these features are pretty self-explanatory. With these options, you can add a playlist, play the video, music etc, download your playlist from the FTP or toggle between the mobile and TV modes. Select as you please.

Let’s take a look at some of the categories on the left.

Remote Playlists 

This option allows you to import any JSON or M3U playlists from the internet. In case you already have an IPTV service with one of these playlist formats, you can transfer it here. Simply enter the Playlist URL and app will transfer it here. Most of the IPTV service providers offer playlists in the form of M3U links. To add a remote playlist, follow these instructions:

Click on the Remote Playlists box and on the next screen, click the plus button located on the top of the screen.

Now click on the Add M3U URL or Add JSON URL option when the app prompts you.

Enter the details and click on Add to finish the process.

Xtream-Codes API

Usually, Playlist URLs can be pretty long. Entering them with Firestick remotes can be a real hassle. Therefore, you need Xtream Codes API.

Please note due to the recent crackdown,  the Xtream Codes API may not work on your device

On the left hand side menu, click on the Xtreme Codes API.

Next, Click the Plus icon on the top of the screen.

Now a pop-up will ask you to enter all the details. Do as prompted and click on Add to finish setting up this feature.

You can now easily enter the URLs.

EPG Program Guide 

Just like the playlists option, you can utilize the EPG Program guide option to import any EPG. You can import from the local file or use a URL to get the guide

Any IPTV service provider that supports the playlist option also supports the EPG link feature.

Here’s how to proceed.

Click on the EPG Program Guide option on the menu

On the following screen, click on the Plus icon located on the top of the screen.

Now click on the Add Local EPG Source option in case you have the EPG on local storage. If not, click on Add Remote EPG Source instead in order to add it from a URL.

Add External Player for Video Playback 

If you don’t like the GSE Smart IPTV app’s default media player, you can even change it and replace by one of your favorite player. This way you can have a much better streaming experience than any other app.

To do this:

Click on the External Player option in the left hand side menu of the home page.

Just like the previous sections, Click on the Plus icon located on the top of the screen.

On the popup screen, click on the Find option.

Here you can find all the installed media players. Click on your preferred option (e.g. MX Player or VLC media player).

Now click Add on the following popup to finish the process.

How to access GSE Smart IPTV on FireStick 

This section explains how to access the app once you have installed it. The instructions provided here are useful for any newly installed app.

Usually, when you install an application, it appears directly on the home page. But not necessarily. If you have more than 20 applications on your device, then some of them will not appear on the home screen. Below are some of the ways you can access such apps without any problem.

1. Go to the home screen of your device and then navigate to the following path:

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > GSE Smart TV (or any other app that you want to access at that moment) > Launch Application

2. Another way to access new apps is:

Press and hold the home button on your Firestick remote. When the prompt is displayed click on the Apps option and then click on your preferred application.

3. You can also select the second row on the home page. Its called “Your Apps & Channels“. Go to the very left of the screen and click on See All. Now scroll down and select the app that you want to launch.

You can also move the app to the very front row by clicking the menu key on remote and then selecting the Move option on the following popup screen.

How to Install GSE Smart IPTV on Android TV Box, Smart Android TV, and Android Phones & Tablets 

Fortunately, GSE Smart IPTV app is fully compatible with all Android platforms such as Android TV boxes, smart Android TVs, Android mobile phones as well as Tablets. So much so, that the app is available on the official Google play store. There’s absolutely no need to sidelaod or manually install it from third party websites.

Below are the steps you need to follow in order to install this app on your preferred Android device.

• Go to the Google Play Store app and look up GSE Smart IPTV application.
• Then click on Download to start downloading the app.
• Afterward, follow the on-screen instruction to set it up on your device.

Just like the Google Play store, this app is also available on the official Apple app store. This means you can get it on any iOS-based device. There is absolutely no need to sideload the app or go through complicated settings to set it up.

Below is how you can get GSE Smart IPTV app on any iPhone, or other similar iOS based devices.

• First of all, open the Apple App Store app.
• Look up the GSE Smart IPTV application
• Download the app
