All About The App-Linked App On Amazon Fire TV

Fire TV & FireStick, How To, Install Guides

This guide will help you to download and install the popular AppLinked app (FileLinked alternative) on your Amazon Fire TV device.

After FileLinked called it quits, for many people, adding apps to Firestick got a bit tedious. But a similar app named AppLinked came to the rescue. Just like FileLinked, the app made it easy for Fire TV users to side-load popular third-party apps.

In this piece, we are going to learn all about AppLinked, especially how you can load it on your Amazon Fire TV device. So without further ado, let’s get started.

What’s AppLinked?

Alternative to FileLinked, AppLinked is a custom store-app that lets Fire TV users easily download popular apps that aren’t available on the Amazon App Store. Users can register their account, create a custom store with multiple apps and publish their store code so that others can access it anywhere and anytime.

The variety of APKs found on AppLinked stores varies from store to store. It’s possible that a store code only hosts movies and TV shows apps. And another code might only consist of utility and sports apps. That’s not it. Public stores are also available categorized in Gaming, Movies, TV Shows, Mixed Content, etc.

AppLinked is compatible with all Android devices like Smart Android TVs, Android TV boxes, Fire TV devices, smartphones, tablets, etc.

Is AppLinked Safe & Legal?

AppLinked lets users create their custom stores where they can host applications that aren’t available on the Amazon App Store. The initiative is quite good, but is it safe and legal? Let’s find out.

Firstly, let’s talk about safety. The AppLinked APK itself is safe to download and install as we analyzed its official file link on the Kaspersky Threat Intelligence Portal – everything was a-okay. But as the app lets you access various custom stores, there’s a security concern when loading an app from God knows where.

Next up, legality. AppLinked’s initiative is legal. But as anyone can host a store with any app, illegal activities can be a thing. Allow us to explain. For instance, a user opened a store and hosted APKs of paid and geo-locked apps. This can lead to legal problems and make the store illegitimate.

So, the app itself is safe and legal to use. But the type of stores you access using it can be unsafe and illegal.
